Can I activate a biometric login during registration?
The activation of the biometric login (fingerprint or facial recognition) will be suggested to you automatically once you’ve successfully registered, either when the first rate is activated (mobile subscriptions) or when the porting process starts (if you want to take your phone number with you to swype).
At a later point in time, you can activate or deactivate the biometric login in the swype app under the «Main navigation» > «Account Settings» > «Biometric authentication» when you’re logged in using your login details.
Once the biometric login has been activated, you can use it to access the swype app.
Please note, however, that biometric login has been introduced as a means of providing quick access in addition to the login method selected during registration. If you haven’t been logged in on the swype app for more than 12 hours or if you’ve actively logged out of the swype app, you’ll first be asked to log in using the login method you selected during registration (e-mail + password, Facebook account, Apple ID or Google account login) the next time you want to access the swype app.

Please note that the biometric login is only activated and the function is only visible in the swype app under the the main navigation > «Account Settings» > «Biometric authentication» if your device supports the function and if it’s activated in the device settings.
